Time Warner Cable
Time Warner Cable purchased a 68,000 sf building located at 6350 Court Street Road. The Bell Group in affiliation with Staubach Companies represented Time Warner in the acquisition of this facility.
Objectives:
- Purchase a 20-35,000 sf building close to their existing customer service center that could be used as a data processing center for the entire Upstate, NY marketplace
- Locate a building with redundant power feeds coming into the building and fiber optics at the building or close to the road
Process:
- Performed a complete market review identifying available opportunities
- Issued and analyzed Request for Proposals (RFPs)
- Created a competitive bidding environment to achieve the most competitive rental rate
Results:
- A 68,000 sf building that was in the process of foreclosure was purchased for less than TWC's budget for a 35,000 sf building and includes expansion up to 110,000 sf possible
- The building has fiber optics at the building and redundant power feeds
- This new location will act as the data processing center in Syracuse, NY
